KhakiKid – releases Live for NPR’s World Cafe, a four track live EP

To celebrate the start of his sold out UK Tour, Dublin artist KhakiKid today releases Live for NPR’s World Cafe, a four-track live EP featuring recordings from his recent performance for the acclaimed US music programme, recorded at Dublin’s iconic Windmill Lane Studios.

Originally broadcast in September as part of NPR’s World Cafe: Sense of Place – Dublin series, the session saw KhakiKid showcase his distinctive sound to an international audience as part of a special celebration of Ireland’s thriving music scene. Now available across streaming platforms for the first time, the EP features live renditions of ‘Soul’, ‘Shlumped Up’, ‘Date Night’ and ‘Shoes Up’, capturing the energy, musicianship and personality of KhakiKid’s live performances. With his signature blend of hip-hop, infectious melodies and sharp lyricism brought to life by a full band, the recordings offer listeners a fresh perspective on his music and a taste of what to expect from his upcoming shows.

The release arrives just as he prepares to embark on his UK and Ireland tour, kicking off with two sold-out London dates at The Lower Third on 22nd and 23rd October, followed by sold-out shows in Manchester and Galway, alongside further dates in Glasgow, Cork and Belfast.
