JPEGMAFIA – Lay Down My Life Tour live at 3Olympia Dublin 30.01.2025

Last night, the 3Olympia Theatre was the place to be as JPEGMAFIA took the stage for a performance that can only be described as crazy! From the moment the doors opened, there was anticipation and excited energy. Fans lined up well before showtime, with the merch queue nearly stretched out the door—proof of the  dedication his Irish audience has for him. Inside, conversations buzzed, and by the time the lights dimmed, the atmosphere was electric. There was no support act last night but the audience were more than warmed up, every twitch on stage was greeted white massive cheers.

Emerging in his signature striking outfit of all black leather topped off with a cowboy hat, an open-face balaclava, JPEGMAFIA wasted no time commanding the crowd’s attention. The moment he stepped on stage, the room erupted, and what followed was a relentless, high-energy set packed with some of his most iconic tracks. He thanked the audience and admitted he’s “not much of a yapper” but asked if he could “play some songs, if they didn’t mind”. The setlist was a perfect mix of his experimental soundscapes, distorted beats, and politically charged lyrics, all delivered with an intensity I haven’t felt many times.

The visuals were just as powerful as the music itself. The light show was intense, insane and frantic. Pulsating in time with the heavy bass and glitchy production. Strobes flashed, bathing the crowd in bursts of color, adding moments that were chaotic and thrilling . It was the kind of sensory overload that perfectly matched JPEGMAFIA’s off-the-wall style, making the entire experience feel immersive and certainly unpredictable.

Between the most pits, the naked skin and the many many drinks being thrown around, the sold out Irish crowd perfectly matched JPEGs energy. By the time the final track rang out, the audience was exhausted but exhilarated. JPEGMAFIA delivered a show that gave everyone more than they expected. Luckily for all in attendance the Dublin weather gave plenty of opportunity to cool down after the show as it was pouring it down. The drastic change in weather summed up the brilliantly chaotic night that was had inside the 3Olympia.
