Dublin’s Jessica Doolan lit up Academy 2 on Thursday night with a soul-pop performance that radiated love. Playing with her full band, Jessica delivered a set that showcased not just her stunning vocals but also the depth and heart in her songwriting.
The room itself felt special, packed with friends, family, and fans who knew every word to her original songs. The crowd sang Jessica’s lyrics right back to her, turning the gig into something far more intimate than a typical show. Smiles, cheers, and moments of quiet awe filled the space, making it clear this was a night nobody wanted to end.
Support came from Calum Agnew, also backed by his full band, who set the tone beautifully. His heartfelt originals struck a chord with the audience, and hearing his songs echoed back by the crowd was a clear sign of the love in the room from the very start.
Together, both performances created an atmosphere that was warm, uplifting, and unifying. The night felt like a gathering of a musical family, and one that celebrated homegrown Irish talent at its very best.
