Iz Divine – releases Motown inspired new single ‘Wonder’

Montana-born alt-R&B, pop and soul singer/songwriter Iz Divine has released her brand new single ‘Wonder’.
 
Inspired by Motown the song is awash with soul and shimmers with pop hooks. Bright guitars and addictive finger clicks meet a wall of delicious harmonies which back the effortlessly smooth and wide-reaching vocals of Iz Divine.
 
Regarding the single Iz Divine says, “I’ve always been inspired by the golden age of Motown, Hitsville USA, especially the songwriters and artists such as Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder, who make you fall in love in three minutes of pure musical magic.
 
Continuing about the video Iz says, “I wanted to bring that same feeling to life, visually inspired by those classic pop love songs. ‘Wonder’ is my Endless Love letter to that timeless Motown magic.”
 
‘Wonder’ has been co-written between Iz Divine, Roseanna Brown and the Grammy-nominated Nick Veinoglou. It is produced by Jonathan Brown and Alex O’Keeffe and mastered by Darren Heelis (Sam Smith, Sienna Spiro, Alicia Keys).
 
Regarding the themes of the song Iz says, “‘Wonder’ is about romanticising the world around me and letting myself feel childlike joy and love. Ultimately falling in love with someone you are destined to meet, before you’ve even met them. Love is timeless. It’s about the wonder of finding your soulmate and refusing to settle for anything less than endless love.”

‘Wonder’ follows the previous single ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ released in May this year. Built on classic big-band-inspired live instrumentation with modern pop hooks and soul swagger, ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ plays like a cross between Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera and RAYE to deliver a determined larger-than-life song that celebrates the most fearless version of Iz Divine.
 
The song received widespread airplay throughout Europe, America and the UK. It proved particularly strong in the US WISM All Access chart while it is also continuing to climb on French radio charts. The new music of Iz Divine in 2026 adds to an impressive string of single releases from the singer which have achieved multimillion streams.
