Lisa’s new single ‘Already Gone’ is out now. ‘Already Gone’ is a punchy breakup song with influences from early 2000s Pop and RnB throughout. Lisa teamed up with Irish producer Sam Stevenson to create this track, travelling to Belfast where Sam is based to record the vocals. The track was produced and mixed by Sam and mastered by Fergal Davis.
‘Already Gone’ was written following a breakup. It is about stepping back from the emotional burden of the situation and gaining clarity.
“After a breakup, you can spend so long wondering what you did wrong or what you could have changed to make things work. But sometimes things aren’t supposed to work even if you want them to and sometimes it was nothing that you said or did that fractured the relationship. I think it’s important to try and take a step back from a situation like that so you can understand and process things more clearly. For me, writing songs like ‘Already Gone’ is my way of doing that.”
