Irish Indie Rock Singer Sadhbh Keane – Releases Blistering Single ‘Hate Me Now’ This Friday 17th

Dublin singer-songwriter Sadhbh Keane returns with her most revealing, visceral offering yet. ‘Hate Me Now’ is set for release on July 17th, 2026, a song that is the definitive calling card, whetting the appetite, for her second EP that will drop early Autumn.

The Track: A Visceral Anatomy of Heartbreak

Produced by Philip Magee (Gavin James, Kodaline), “Hate Me Now” is a masterclass in emotional architecture. The track blends the riveting, diary-entry intimacy of Boygenius with the compelling, indie rock festival vibe of Sam Fender.

Poetically charged and unsparingly honest, the song explores the turbulent aftermath of a fractured relationship. Sadhbh’s lyrics detail the painful asymmetry of love and control (‘You never let me talk too much ‘bout how your problems effected the both of us’), transforming personal ruin into a universal anthem of reclamation (‘I was just a lost soul but I never came back running, that’s why you hate me now’)

Backpedalled by her incredibly talented band Na Realta, complimenting Sadhbh’s lyrical depth, musically the band blends effortless high energy guitar riffs with undulating indie-rock textures. It is a song that doesn’t just recount heartbreak; it forces the listener to feel its weight, its anger, and ultimately, its freedom.

ABOUT SADHBH KEANE

Fresh off the back of being named an Irish Times “One to Watch” and earning glowing comparisons to the powerhouse clarity of Dermot Kennedy, Sadhbh has evolved from an emerging voice into a bona fide trailblazer. With 11 original tracks already under her belt and a celebrated debut EP, Passion + Paper, her newest work is sonically bold – stepping firmly into the rousing indie-rock landscape.

Still just 18, Sadhbh’s 2023 debut EP Passion + Paper was celebrated for its lyrical depth and musical maturity, and her singles have consistently found support across RTÉ 2FM, RTE 1 Recommends List, BBC, and independent stations abroad.

Previous tracks like “She Really Loves You”, “You and Never Me”, “Life at Christmas” “A Chuisle, A Chroi”, gained national airplay and praise for their emotional resonance. Fionnuala Moran (2FM) described Sadhbh’s live voice as “magic… the power and clarity I saw in Dermot Kennedy before he became big.”
