Himalayas – have enlisted Wargasm on remix duties for their hit single ‘What If…?’

HIMALAYAS have enlisted WARGASM on remix duties for their hit single ‘What If…?’. Propulsive and dark, the remix takes the punchy rock track and warps the vocals and riffs among hard-hitting electro beats and synths resulting in a face-melting bop reminiscent of The Prodigy.

Regarding the remix HIMALAYAS frontman Joe Williams says, “When the opportunity to work with WARGASM came up, it was a no brainer. We really like what they do and it’s been awesome to hear their take on ‘What If…?’. The energy and feel of the remix really hits hard in the style of the original song and it hasn’t lost the groove which was a huge part in the original. The drops in the remix add so much to the impact of the song and paired with the more stripped back parts there’s add a real ebb and flow.”

Bad Star PURCHASE HERE

As the lead single for their recently released second album BAD STAR, ‘What If…?’ introduced fans to the new album and displayed the depth of the record sonically and lyrically. It showcases their powerful rock sound while finding the Cardiff four-piece reflecting on personal and global problems, accepting how little the individual can do to influence the path they are on.

BAD STAR has birthed a string of very successful singles in addition to ‘What If…?’, including ‘Surrender’, ‘Afterlife’, ‘Nothing Higher’, ‘Hung Up’ and ‘Cave Paintings’. All of which have been receiving major UK radio support with Radio 1 particularly big fans.

Working with producer Pete Hutchings (Royal Blood, Nothing But Thieves, Skindred) the result on BAD STAR is 10 tracks that finds the band ooze with confidence, with a sharp skill in inventive but catchy riffs, slinking rhythms, and an ever-present sense of vastness of both sound and vision.

HIMALAYAS have also been blazing an impressive trail live. Following previous stadium and arena performances with Foo Fighters, Stereophonic and Manic Street Preachers, HIMALAYAS kicked off 2025 in America where they performed a number of searing showcases at SXSW, which has been followed by Focus Wales showcases in the UK earlier this month.

HIMALAYAS hit the road again this week, starting with a performance at In It Together Festival on Friday (May 24th) before commencing their six-date UK headline tour starting on May 28th. HIMALAYAS have also been announced to perform at 2000trees and Y Not Festival. More information and tickets can be found at www.himalayasofficial.com
