Heavy Wild – announce their frenetic new single ‘freeze2death’

London-based heavy wild today announce their frenetic new single, freeze2death as well as their highly anticipated sophomore EP, Paradise Forever, to be released on 14th October via Submarine Cat Records. The 7-track EP will mark the follow up to 2025’s Death Dreams EP which featured breakout single Wasteland. Songwriter Wolfgang Harte says this new release was born out of the of two years of touring and reflects the more developed live sound of the band since that first EP.

New single freeze2death is a fast-paced, lo-fi, coming-of-age fever-dream built around a ferocious rhythm section, swirling, ethereal synth lines, trashy guitars and vocals simmering with emotion which eventually boil over.  Lyrically, Harte sees the new single as a sequel to one of the first heavy wild tracks Dope Gods; “Dealing with the changing face of relationships as you move through youth and beyond and how life pulls people in different directions.” The track is the second single off the upcoming EP following Lonely Dawn released in July (playlisted by So Young on Spotify and by Apple Music – New in Indie & New in Rock). Listen to freeze2death here.

The new single is accompanied by the official music video. Teaming up once again with director/producer Bobbie Mercury (@notfadeaway), Harte explains that they sought to capture the sense of boredom, frustration and longing of alt-kids in small towns who end up as outsiders who often only have each other and form these tight-knit worlds as a result. The clothing in the video was designed by .NET, a clothing line which donates profits to homeless charities in Sheffield.

heavy wild will celebrate the release of their new EP with two headline shows: McChuill’s in Glasgow on 16th October and The Lexington in London on 27th October, before a full UK and EU tour starting in February (announcement to follow). Following a blistering Old Blue Last show for East London Block Party in July, The Lexington date will be the group’s only remaining London show of 2026.
