Health – release ”Rat Wars” (Ultra Edition) + the new single with Filter ”Free To Die”

HEALTH today released RAT WARS ULTRA EDITION, a deluxe expansion of their critically acclaimed 2023 album RAT WARS, via Loma Vista Recordings. The release arrives with a four-track EP that features three collaborations, including the band’s moody, pulsating new single with Filter, “FREE TO DIE.” HEALTH makes music that could soundtrack an apocalypse, and Filter shares that same intensity. There’s a clear creative synergy between the two bands, marked by bold experimentation and a willingness to push boundaries, drawing from a diverse mix of genres like industrial, electronic, metal, and avant-garde. On “FREE TO DIE,” HEALTH and Filter’s Richard Patrick converge these elements to form a raw, aggressive, and forward-thinking noise-rock sound. The EP also includes recently released collaborative singles “ASHAMED [Feat. Lauren Mayberry]” and “THE DRAIN”—a team up with Bad Omens and SWARM originally featured on the former’s CONCRETE JUNGLE [THE OST] (Sumerian Records)—as well as HEALTH’s stunning Spotify Singles cover of Deftones’ “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away).” Stream or purchase RAT WARS ULTRA EDITION now HERE.

RAT WARS ULTRA EDITION arrives on the heels of HEALTH’s recent GRAMMY Museum conversation and performance, KEXP live session, and festival plays at Riot Fest and Louder Than Life, among others.
