Irish musician, DJ and broadcaster Graham Smyth is sharing the second taste of his forthcoming debut album Music For Babies To Rave And Sleep To, with his new single ‘Kalimbarama (For Sleeping)’. The song is redolent of ambient greats like Hiroshi Yoshimura and Brian Eno, but retains a childlike ease which will make it enjoyable for – and accessible to – all ages.
Graham Smyth says: “‘Kalimbarama (For Sleeping)’ is my favourite track on the album. Every time I listen to it I feel like the world slows down to half speed… and that’s the intention. The looping melody, the time-stretched plucks and drawn out sounds from rubbing the instrument paired with the lush, warm sonic landscapes create a drowsy mood which is ideal for taking time out or nodding off to.”
