Gia Ford – make a return with her new single, ‘God’

Multi-genre singer-songwriter Gia Ford returns with her new single, ‘God’, out now via Chrysalis Records. The new single is accompanied by a music visualiser which is available to watch below. ‘God’ is the first new music Gia has released since her sensational 2024 debut album, Transparent Things.

On ‘God’, Gia Ford once again demonstrates why she is quickly becoming one of the most proficient singer-songwriter virtuoso’s to emerge in recent years, with an ability to traverse a multitude of styles and genres from across the decades all the while remaining relevant to the contemporary day by stamping her own unmistakable, ‘Gia Ford’, sound across her tracks. ‘God’ purveys everything from luscious 60s psychedelic guitar riffs, sultry bass, and drums that incorporate jazz motifs. Gia’s stunning vocals stretch across the track and tie the entire composition together. ‘God’ is complex and accessible to all in equal measures.

This month, Gia is set to play two UK headline shows, one in Manchester on Thursday 9th October at The Lodge, and the second in London on Tuesday 14th October and The Grace. Tickets are available to purchase HERE. Next month, Gia will also play Pitchfork Music Festival Paris on Saturday 8th November.

Raised between Sheffield and Cheshire after her parents divorced, Gia Ford developed an early passion for both poetry and original songs. This culminated in her spectacular debut album, Transparent Things, which was released in 2024 and is a collection of songs that demonstrates Ford’s signature Sheffield swagger, burnished with nods to alt-pop and psychedelic sleaze. Most of all, her debut album shows how Ford is able to craft songs like no other artist of her generation.

Following the release of Transparent Things, Ford received huge critical success, with CLASH Magazine called her a “striking indie it-girl to watch” in an 8/10 review whilst The Line of Best Fit said “Gia Ford’s debut record is a triumph of perseverance, of artistic integrity, and of what can happen when you stick to your guns”. Ford has also received additional support from a wealth of titles including NME, DIY, WhyNow, Rolling Stone UK, Polyester, and Wonderland, to name a few.

Now, Ford is turning to the next chapter in her burgeoning career, with fresh singles set for the end of 2025 and plenty more music to come in 2026.
