Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh announce Kingfishr – to play Heineken® Big Top

Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh today announced that Irish trad-infused sensations Kingfishr will take to the stage of the Heineken® Big Top on Sunday 20 July 2025.

Kingfishr has quickly become one of the most exciting acts in Irish music. Fusing Irish folk with modern influences, their atmospheric sound and catchy melodies have captured a wide audience.

The band has charted a unique path to success, gaining significant attention through social media and streaming platforms where they’ve racked up over 70 million streams and 800,000+ monthly listeners. Recent accolades include winning the Music Moves Europe Award and a nomination for Irish Breakthrough Artist at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Awards. Their live album, Kingfishr Live from Dublin, soared to No. 5 on the Irish Charts and No. 7 on the UK Folk Albums Chart.

From supporting George Ezra, Dermot Kennedy, and The Coronas, to selling out their recent UK and Irish tours and playing Glastonbury in 2024 Kingfishr’s future looks incredibly bright.

Kingfishr will take to the stage of the Heineken® Big Top as part of Galway International Arts Festival on Sunday 20 July 2025.

Tickets €45 (plus booking fee) go on sale at 10am Friday 28 March at giaf.ie  / roisindubh.net
