Fya Fox – Shares New Single ‘October 15th

Armagh alt-pop artist Fya Fox has released her new single ‘October 15th’, ahead of her debut EP Bittersweet arriving on October 23rd.

The Whelan’s Ones To Watch alumna and VIP Magazine ‘Rising Star’ returned from hiatus earlier this year with a string of deeply personal singles, including RTÉ 2FM Track of the Week ‘Sweet Goodbye’, Today FM Irish Track of the Week ‘Hometown’, and the RTÉ Radio 1 Recommends List-added single ‘Oversized Denim Jacket’.

With ’October 15th’, Fox offers the last intimate window into forthcoming debut EP, Bittersweet – an honest reflection on heartbreak, loss and finding the strength to move forward.

‘October 15th’ captures personal insecurities and the inner critic that follows on from an argument, disagreement or relationship breakup. Fox explains:

“It’s all the little things that build inside, feeling like you’ve no return. The chorus hits with a sense of relief and hope, that nothing is permanent and we can turn things around no matter how bad you think it is.”

The song moves between vulnerability and determination, ultimately finding hope in the decision to leave the past behind and move forward, continuing her instinct for turning real-life experiences into intimate and relatable songwriting. 

With her debut EP, Bittersweet, Fya Fox continues to establish herself as one of Ireland’s most compelling singer-songwriters in the pop space.
