Fya Fox – returns with heartfelt new single ‘Sweet Goodbye’

The single sees the Whelan’s Ones To Watch alumna and VIP Magazine ‘Rising Star’ mark a welcome return to the Irish music scene, having released her last single, ‘Duvet Day’ (Hot Press Track of the Day) in 2023. The birth of her daughter and an unfortunate motor accident contributed to a break from releasing music, but the artist now begins a fresh chapter in 2026 with the powerful, sincere new track, ‘Sweet Goodbye’.
 

The single is a poignant tribute to lost loved ones, reflecting on grief, remembrance, and the bittersweet space between holding on and moving forward. Merging her electronic roots with a new pop-folk direction, Fya Fox embraces a minimal aesthetic with refined elegance, working with long-time producer Matthew Weir to mark the beginning of her new creative era.
 

She says, “‘Sweet Goodbye’ explores not being able to share big moments in my life with loved ones who have passed. It came together really naturally because it’s so close to my heart – I wrote the bones of the song at home on guitar and then went into the studio with some really strong sonic references.”

She adds, “I feel really excited but nervous about this release as it’s been a minute. But it’s authentic and honest and I hope listeners feel that when they hear it.”
