Forbidden Fruit Festival Day 2 – live gallery and review from Royal Hospital, Kilmainham Dublin 31.05.2026

Day two of Forbidden Fruit kept the fantastic momentum going, proving to be another genuinely great day out. Even though Sunday had slightly greyer skies compared to the previous afternoon, the festival crowd brought an unbeatable energy and were a joy to photograph. The skies were mostly overcast with only a little sunshine poking through now and then, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.

Moving between the different stages revealed a great variety of performances throughout the afternoon. Over at the Happy Days stage, the vibe was perfectly set early on by Syano and And He, The Fool. At the RTÉ 2FM Rising stage, April and Jensen McRae took to the stage for their respective sets amongst many other rising artists. The Lighthouse stage had a steady pulse to it, driven by performances from Darkmavis, Diebyveg, and later Riria. Meanwhile, the Undergrowth stage featured a massive lineup, starting off with Vi0let and Just for Fun.

As the evening progressed, Horsegiirl, Interplanetary Criminal, and Vousuke Vuk1matsu brought in an absolute full house in that tent, keeping the packed crowd completely hooked. Naturally, the East stage remained the main focal point of the festival. The energy steadily built up there, starting with Avenue 68 and Moio, followed by a beautiful performance from Joy Crookes.

As night fell, Folamour and Kaytranada closed out the East stage, delivering huge sets that had the whole field moving. Just like Saturday, a small bit of rain started to fall right at the very end of the night. It was a gentle, refreshing close to a brilliant weekend of music, capping off another highly successful day of shooting.
