‘Coffee Party was written in a cabin on a farm in the Yorkshire Moors. The story is about getting together with an ex boyfriends new girlfriend. I was wrapping up a writing day session with my producer and had to take my dog out quickly for potty, when I came back to the cabin, my producer said listen to this cool bass line and then the words were to written to the bass. Because of this, my dog Colbie makes multiple appearances in the song as she has been key to it’s existence. ‘Coffee Party’ is also dripping with innuendos…‘and isn’t actually about coffee.
