Elina Filice – releases a the new alt pop single “Bury Me” you can read our review here

With “Bury Me,” Elina Filice delivers a nostalgic punk-pop anthem that balances infectious energy with striking emotional depth. Driven by punchy rhythms, soaring hooks, and melodies that linger long after the final chorus, the single captures the carefree spirit of early 2000s pop-punk while embracing a polished modern sensibility.

At its heart, “Bury Me” is a song about the objects that become woven into our personal histories. Inspired by a long-running joke about a stolen Molson Canadian T-shirt, the track begins with a playful premise before evolving into something far more profound. As Filice explains, the song grew into a reflection on the kind of love you never want returned, reclaimed, or let go of, the love you want to carry forever.

That emotional shift is what makes “Bury Me” so compelling. Beneath its bright, energetic exterior lies a heart wrenching meditation on memory, attachment, and the seemingly ordinary artefacts that quietly narrate our lives. Clothing, photographs, and keepsakes become vessels for shared experiences, preserving stories long after moments have passed.

Filice’s ability to pair sharp songwriting with irresistible pop-punk charm results in a single that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. “Bury Me” is catchy, heartfelt, and impossible to forget.

“Bury Me” as pop songs go, scores a 7 out of 10
