Liverpool-born rising stars, East Exchange have today announced the release of their long-awaited EP, torn between ties. via AWAL. Spanning 6 tracks, the compelling body of work explores emotional struggle, self-reflection and connection. These songs include the previously released unspoken, lily and fall. The band worked together with GRAMMY award winning producer & mixer Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters, Muse, Feeder), who they caught the attention of on TikTok, where they have 110k+ followers & 3.8m+ likes. The band have explained, “We were still figuring out our sound and identity when we got kicked out of our rehearsal room, and ended up moving into this freezing, run-down warehouse space on the edge of town. It was dingy and depressing but, looking back, it suited the music East Exchange were trying to make far better than the room we’d left behind. ghost. came together in that space, alongside many of the songs that would eventually make up the torn between ties. We can’t wait for everyone to experience the EP the way we envisaged it, because we worked really hard together on it, and we’re extremely proud of how it’s turned out. Working with Adrian Bushby really helped bring our vision to life.“

The band are having a jam-packed and admirable first festival season so far, playing the likes of 2000 Trees, Outbreak, Great Escape, Liverpool SoundCity and Dot to Dot. East Exchange have also this year supported bands including Enter Shikari, Letlive, Return To Dust and more, rapidly expanding their fan base everywhere they go.

Friends since childhood, East Exchange are swiftly becoming ones to watch with their unique and signature blend of 90s grunge, and melodic alternative rock.
