Joe Maxi, the experimental rockers from Dublin, have been storming the Irish grassroots scene since their 2022 formation.
The new single “Butterfly” is a chaotic and fearless exploration of the pure carnage of contemporary experimental music—a testament to the underground rock scene and all its unfiltered glory. Undeniably quite the wild ride, the track embodies every drop of the frenetic energy and intensity that fans have come to expect from Joe Maxi, a proper punk powerhouse in the Irish scene.
“Butterfly” forms as one dense, intricate arrangement, dipping into punk, prog-rock and alternative sounds to deliver one meaty mouthful. From release to release, Joe Maxi are effortless in their approach, pinpointing where to be complex, simplistic, honest and mysterious, all while sustaining their raw-energy and commanding style.
“Butterfly” will leave you knowing exactly who Joe Maxi are, having no idea where they will go next, but ready to jump on the bandwagon.
Leaving a lasting impression on audiences in Dublin, Limerick, Belfast, Cork, and Edinburgh, this is only the start of a promising journey for the electrifying four-piece.
