The Industrial trio TAYNE have released their new album LOVE and it packs a punch, in the face, with a metal chair.
“We love extreme metal music but we find it more exciting trying to create something that isn’t what everyone expects you to do”.
Industrial is the main word here. Think of Metal being ripped apart by a mechanical machine of some sort. Picture a post apocalyptic Dublin where the country is ruled by cyborg robotic assassins that look like Michael D Higgins’s.
TAYNE are painting their vision with the new album LOVE.
Already dubbed as ones to watch for 2025, this album will be sure to turn heads.
With NIN set to go back on tour, I feel like TAYNE have placed this album into the right year. Perhaps they are sent from the future to come back at this exact moment in order to change the genre as we know it ?
Opening up with ERASED with an AK47 like double kick explosion and a voice that sends me back to the 80/90’s to such bands like Depeche mode and New order.
We then have DOWN which kicks you in the teeth and screams for Marilyn Manson to add some vocals to it as if it was written for Antichrist Superstar.
A heavy guitar based track with a NIN drum track. We get straight into the industrial grittiness!
COHERENT brings the real aggression in and I’m suddenly at a club in Berlin blinded by the fog and red lasers whilst the dance floor is a pit of sweat and body’s moving to the sounds! With a little help from Cage Fight vocalist Rachel Aspe providing the black metal vibes. A song coming in at 2 mins 30 seconds, it packs a punch!
Using the album to truly question and understand LOVE, TAYNES mastermind Matt Sutton goes deep into an exploration of the benefits and consequences of LOVE. Placed on a bed of chaos grunge and grinding metal, it’s a powerful and beautiful expression of one’s self. Emotions of all kind, always come with their drawbacks, and we can feel this chaos within us when we are battling with our emotions, and I can truly feel all of that, within the music of LOVE.
The album has dropped today the 31st of January, which you can purchase in a beautiful speckled red vinyl.

Ones to watch indeed, and we can be sure to see more of TAYNE throughout this year, with the album getting a 6 out of 10
