Dublin born alternative indie artist Eden – announces a headline The Academy, Dublin

Dublin born alternative-Indie artist EDEN announces a headline Academy, Dublin show for Saturday, 14th March 2026 as part of the ‘Dark Tour’.

His forthcoming album Dark is set to release August 22nd 2025.

EDEN, born Jonathon Ng in Dublin, Ireland, is an artist who defies traditional genre boundaries, blending electronic, indie, and alternative elements into a deeply personal soundscape. Emerging from the digital underground in the mid-2010s, EDEN first gained traction through self-released EPs End Credits (2015)and i think you think too much of me (2016), which collectively reached almost one billion streams worldwide and started to garner mass popularity for him in the scene. His music, characterized by atmospheric textures, glitchy beats, and layered vocals, often explores themes of identity, mental health, and the complexities of modern life like in his debut album, vertigo (2018), which was lauded for its raw, introspective lyrics and innovative production.

A vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer, EDEN crafts his songs with a meticulous attention to detail, often incorporating field recordings and unconventional sound design techniques. His follow-up album, no future (2020), continued to push the envelope, showcasing a more expansive and cinematic approach to songwriting while retaining the intimate, confessional tone that has become his trademark.

EDEN’s work resonates with a generation navigating the digital landscape, offering a voice that is both vulnerable and unflinchingly honest. Following up his 2020 album, the eleven genre-defying tracks on ICYMI (2022) are made up of R&B hooks, ambient field recordings, crate-digging samples, and euphoric beats to tell the story of EDEN’s journey from a place of mourning and isolation to one of community and joy. As a producer his techniques are more experimental than ever, but the songwriting is a timeless blend of melody and soul.

As he continues to evolve, EDEN remains a unique force in contemporary music, challenging listeners to engage with his art on a deeper, more emotional level moving into his latest project Dark (2025) set to release this coming summer. The project displays a newly found optimism with the idea that some things that feel so intense are out of your hands, and the only way to live with it is to take the weight off your shoulders and find the beauty around you. A long-awaited finale unfolding, Dark holds an early 2020’s border-less inspiration, effervescently smashing and cutting into itself leaving behind only a moment’s memory.
