donny. – shuts the door on an era with final, industrial tinged single “hatefulspeech.”

Galway based artist and producer donny. has released his latest single, “hatefulspeech.”, a visceral sonic offering that serves as the definitive finale to his “angry era.” After a year of meticulous refinement, the track stands as a raw reflection of the artist’s journey through the underground – capturing the specific, biting frustration of creating art in a vacuum. “hatefulspeech.” is a masterclass in sonic contrast. donny.’s signature production style is evident throughout the song layering cold, electronic elements that feel both jagged and expansive, while Tristus Boyd washes the track in a beating human intensity, with live drums cutting through the digital haze. While the energy of the track suggests a spontaneous burst of aggression, the reality was a year-long labor of love.

“There’s something about the contrast of futuristic production with real drums,” says donny. “It sounds like it was fast and easy to make, but it actually took us a full year to get the balance right.”

The title “hatefulspeech.” isn’t a political statement, but a personal one. It is a candid look at the exhaustion of being ignored and the isolation of making music that feels like it’s falling on deaf ears. As the final installment of his “angry era,” the song functions as a calculated finale. It is the last time listeners will hear this specific brand of vitriol from donny. before he pivots to a brand-new sonic direction. With “hatefulspeech.” now public, the air is cleared. donny. has confirmed that he is officially moving away from this aggressive soundscape, with a “different sound” already in development and slated for release in the coming months.

donny. has quickly established himself as a prominent figure in the Irish music scene since his debut release in 2022. He has garnered attention and praise from renowned tastemakers, including District Magazine, Genuine Irish, and Dylan Murphy of Mabfield.

In 2025, donny. took to the Main Stage of Forbidden Fruit alongside Khakikid to perform his tracks with longtime collaborator Niall Tarmey and released a number of hard hitting singles including a collaboration with CARSTEN2X titled ‘SHOREDITCH’. Originally from Hungary and now based in Galway, Donny has achieved remarkable milestones, with releases featured on several Spotify Editorial playlists, such as New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday Sri Lanka, and New Music Friday Bangladesh. His distinct sound and artistry continue to resonate, elevating his profile within the industry and captivating audiences worldwide.
