Today sees donny. and Filmore! release their latest single dreemr.

donny. has quickly established himself as a prominent figure in the Irish music scene since his debut release in 2022. He has garnered attention and praise from renowned tastemakers, including District Magazine, Genuine Irish, and Dylan Murphy of Mabfield. Recently donny. took to the Main Stage of Forbidden Fruit alongside Khakikid to perform his tracks with longtime collaborator Niall Tarmey. Just last month donny. released his latest collaboration with CARSTEN2X titled ‘SHOREDITCH’ which is available on all streaming platforms. Originally from Hungary and now based in Galway, Donny has achieved remarkable milestones, with his captivating tracks featured on several Spotify Editorial playlists, such as New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday Sri Lanka, and New Music Friday Bangladesh. His distinct sound and artistry continue to resonate, elevating his profile within the industry and captivating audiences worldwide. Today, donny. has just released his latest single, “dreemr.” in collaboration with Filmore! and produced by Tristus Boyd.

Speaking about the track, donny. states, “To be completely honest, I wrote this song to let off steam. It’s very angry. From my perspective, it was created to confront my dissatisfaction with how people have perceived me in the past, as well as how I have viewed myself at times.”

This song is a collaboration with Filmore! Regarding the collaboration, donny. adds, “It’s always interesting to see how other artists work. He approaches things very differently than I do, but he is highly efficient. I appreciated that! His process was straightforward, and he did justice to the song, no doubt!”

donny. believes the song can be interpreted in various ways, saying, “Ultimately, I want listeners to form their own ideas about what this song means to them. Or they can just enjoy the music without overthinking it!”

Since the release of his debut album, *i bleached my voice in psychedelics*, in June 2022, donny. has become one of the most sought-after names in the Galway music scene, both for his recorded work and live performances. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres, including indie rock, post-punk, and hip-hop, donny. combines these elements with his exceptionally powerful vocals to create a unique sound that has garnered significant attention. His songs are characterized by powerful dynamics and catchy hooks.

Alongside his releases, he also formed a live band called monotypes., which features a mix of donny.’s solo music and original compositions created by the band. This new formation has elevated donny.’s popularity in the local Galway scene, resulting in many sold-out shows at venues such as Áras na Gael, Roisin Dubh, and The Loft.

In 2025, donny. released his single “hot head.” and a collaborative EP titled *what comes after saturday.* with Niall Tarmey. The EP includes tracks such as “gasoline.wav.” “madelyn.wav.” “nevada.wav.” and “comatose.wav.” It has received significant support from both fans and the press, accumulating 20,000 streams so far. Currently, donny. is working on exciting collaborations and upcoming releases, with his debut UK dates in the pipeline. He says, “I’ve got a lot more music to come and visuals to match it. So stay tuned because I have a lot more to show you.
