DMA’S – announce new self-titled album will be released in August & reveal their new single ‘Heatin Park’

Australian trio DMA’S have announced that their self-titled album will be released on 7 August via Wonderlick Entertainment / Sony Music Australia / RCA UK Preorder / Presave http://HERE . The band have also shared another taste of the record with the new stadium-ready single Heatin Park, with the official video, filmed across the UK and Melbourne.

Speaking about their fifth album and new single, Matt Mason from DMA’S says: “Heatin Park started as an old forgotten demo banged into a new sound for us, and that collision is what gives it its feral energy. The album is called DMA’S because that’s exactly what it is and we’re keen to play it for you all.”

With its My Bloody Valentine-esque lead guitar and gritty, distorted vocals. Heatin Park is a stark contrast to March’s melodic single My Baby’s Place, which was added to full rotation on triple j and peaked at #1 Most Played and is a marker of the breadth of sound this new record covers.

Written and recorded between their own studio in Glebe, Sydney and in Los Angeles, this self-titled album represents a defining moment for the band, showcasing the evolution of their signature anthemic sound with fresh sonic textures. It’s highlighted by the band co-producing most of the record with Grammy-Nominated producer Lach Bostock with help from Jimi Somewhere and Styalz Fuego.

Following their sold out Hills End 10 th anniversary UK tour in February, and prior to the Australian tour, DMA’S will return to the UK for the following dates in May:

Wed 20 NOTTINGHAM Rock City
Thu 21 NOTTINGHAM Rock City (SOLD OUT)
