Del Water Gap / Elle Coves – live gallery and review from The Academy, Dublin 27.08.25

Since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2021, Del Water Gap has come along leaps and bounds. Fresh off the back of a thrilling performance this year at Lollapalooza Chicago, he’s embarked on his 2025 tour.

In typical Del Water Gap fashion, Holden bounced around the stage and was always engaging with the fans. The Academy was the perfect venue for this artist given the close proximity of the stage to the front row.

We had a first-play of new track “Marigolds”, set to release on September 4. The highlight of the set though was undoubtedly the rendition of his most popular, “Ode To A Conversation Stuck In Your Throat”. The now indie-anthem never fails to send fans into a frenzy, and served as the perfect encore.

Support on the night came from Elle Coves.
