Declan O’Rourke to release ‘Kyabram with Kisses XX’ a special Record Store Day limited edition smart vinyl

In 2004 Declan O’Rourke released ‘Since Kyabram’, his debut album, capturing the heart of the Irish music scene and quickly garnering critical acclaim, earning gold, platinum, and double platinum certifications. Two decades later, to celebrate the iconic milestone, Declan is releasing ‘Kyabram with Kisses XX’ a very special Record Store Day limited edition Smart Vinyl twist on the original album, coming Saturday 12th April.

Side A features a curated collection of O’Rourke’s personal favourites from the album, while Side B showcases special guest contributions, with exclusive bonus material sprinkled throughout the LP. The track listing includes features two brand new special guest recordings, featuring Paul Weller on a new recording of ‘Galileo’, and Imelda May on a new recording of ‘Love is the Way’.

Not available anywhere else, the Smart Vinyl content that accompanies ‘Kyabram with Kisses XX’ promises a rich digital exploration of O’Rourke’s creative process and, through unreleased demos, alternate takes, and behind-the-scenes footage, offers an intimate look at the journey behind his debut. Collectively, the LP and Smart Vinyl contents of ’Kyabram with Kisses XX’ provide a rare insight into the album and music that has defined O’Rourke’s career. Each LP has a unique NFT code which unlocks the content and grants access to this digital platform. Declan is the first Irish recording Artist to release a Smart Vinyl album.

Reflecting on the journey, O’Rourke shares: “There are many unseen kindnesses and endorsements that influence the creation and the life of a work. Featuring contributions by some very dear friends and artists I greatly admire, along with behind-the-scenes glimpses of the original recording sessions, Kyabram with Kisses XX is a love-filled thank you and acknowledgement of the love and friendship of a particular few whose generosity helped to shape ‘Since Kyabram’ and what it has become over the 20 years since its release. The kisses in the title double as a nod, in roman numerals, to the album’s significant anniversary.”
