Davina Michelle – releases empowering new single ‘What A Woman’

Dutch pop star and singer/songwriter Davina Michelle has released her empowering new single ‘What A Woman’. The track is a powerful uplifting anthem which celebrates the intelligence, resilience, and versatility of women, turning stereotypes into symbols of strength and pride.

Regarding the single Davina says, “This song celebrates every side of a woman — her strength, courage, and freedom to choose her own path. A thank you to those who inspire by simply daring to be themselves.”

Having chalked up over 20 hit singles in the Netherlands, with millions of fans across her social media, the release of ‘What A Woman’ marks the start of a new era of Davina Michelle who introduces a brand new look and grand expansion on her sound and songwriting.

With the new single Davina Michelle demonstrates that she is not only an exceptional vocalist and performer, but one who also uses her art to inspire and prompt connection throughout society as one of the Netherlands’ most important pop artists.

Few artists have managed to leave such a lasting impression in such a short time as Davina Michelle. With her unique voice, powerful live performances, and empowering songs, she has become one of the most successful artists of her generation – and is now rapidly conquering the international stage.

In 2020 Davina Michelle released her Gold-certified debut album my own world which propelled her to selling out arenas across her homeland. As the critically acclaimed Higher in followed in 2024 she cemented her status internationally.

That year Davina Michelle toured arenas across Europe with Robbie Williams which also included a performance at BST Hyde Park. Her impressive career has seen her share the stage with further pop giants including Maroon 5 and P!nk, while she also performed for an audience of over 180 million during the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 as their interval act.

Most recently in 2025 Davina Michelle completed her first headline shows in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and Poland and has more headline dates to be announced soon.

As Davina Michelle continues to evolve, reinvent, and push boundaries live and on record, as ‘What A Woman’ arrives it signals a new era for the singer which will cement her as a powerful name using her platform to provoke positive thought through her huge pop hits.

Davina Michelle’s work for positive change throughout society also extends beyond her music as an ambassador for Free A Girl, a global movement to end the sexual exploitation of children focused on rescue, aftercare, justice and empowerment. Here she is raising awareness, inspiring change, and fighting for a world where every child can grow up free, safe and empowered to shape their own future and fulfil their dreams.
