Following the success of his impressive new single Valentine, Daithí is back with Ferry2Aran, a transportive, atmospheric new single inspired by journeys both near and far—and the profound way travel can shift perspectives and stir the soul.
Following a two-year hiatus from releasing solo work, 2025 is already shaping up to be a landmark year for music producer and score composer, Daithí. His Italo Disco-inspired single Valentine was met with much acclaim upon its Valentine’s Day release, while Christy, a feature film score he collaborated on, directed by Brendan Canty, took home the International Jury Grand Prix in the prestigious Berlinale Film Festival in February. With Ferry2Aran, Daithí continues to build momentum towards a highly anticipated new album, set for release 26th September 2025.
Speaking about the new track Ferry2Aran, Daithí says:
“Ferry2Aran is inspired by three distinct journeys I’ve taken in recent years: a playful pirate-ship cruise across Japan’s Lake Ashi in Hakone’s mist-shrouded mountains, an unexpected inflatable bouncy castle floating on a lake near Les Bariousses in Treignac, France, and the blustery sea foam of the ferry crossing from Doolin to Inis Mór—just a short hop from my current home. It’s an ode to the transformative power of travel.”
