R&B / Hip-hop singer Cosha celebrated the release of her new EP MurMurs with a headline show at The Workman’s Cellar Dublin.
Opening the set with an A Capella song ” Uilcean Dubh O” after which there were some mic technical issues but none of this faze Cosha as she carried on entertaining the audience with her dancing to some of her backing sounds, even leaving the stage and dancing with audience members until the issue was resolved which was done quickly, once all sorted the show continued as planned and the crowd were treated to the most blissful chilled out night ever.
The set consisted of not only tracks from MurMurs but also tracks from her album Mr Pleasant, at one point during the night Cosha informed us that there would be no encore once she got to the end of the 14 strong set, but when she did the crowd were having none of it and Cosha was encouraged to do an extra number A Capella, sorry I didnt catch the name of this track. ( Edited as @glennthefitz on instagram was kind enough to message me with the name of the song, see set-list below and thank you Glenthefitz)
Opening the night fall on Saileog Ní Cheannabháin who goes by the stage name of Saileog and is a native Irish speaker so her set consisted of her sean-nós singing style either on keyboards or viola and singing As Gaeilge.
