Cork based artist The Deep Hour – will release uplifting new single ‘These Are My Streets’ on Fri 8th May featuring Paul Linehan (The Frank And Walters)

Cork based artist Brian O’Glanby carries forward a tradition of powerful, anthemic songwriting with The Deep Hour.

A gifted songsmith known for his distinctive vocals, sometimes referred to as a celtic Guy Garvey, with his gritty style of indie with a twist of soul and intricate instrumental arranging, O’Glanby has woven a unique sonic tapestry that has captivated audiences across his twenty-plus years as an artist.

With a penchant for storytelling, O’Glanby’s heartfelt narratives are inspired from personal experiences and the human condition. This ethos warmly transitions to his latest venture – The Deep Hour – with a forthcoming album that draws from introspection, vulnerability and conviction.

Releasing the debut single, ‘The One’ in late 2025, a heart-on-sleeve track serving as a timely prayer for change in unsettled times and a plea for unity in our fractured world, the single earned an iTunes No.1 position in both the main Irish charts and iTunes Rock Charts, garnering support from Red FM, V13, Broken 8, Amazing Radio, The Sound Lab UK and more, announcing The Deep Hour’s arrival.

The second  release from The Deep Hour, ‘Hurricane’, in Feb 2026, reached the No. 2 Position in the Irish iTunes Charts, with No. 1 in the iTunes Rock Charts carrying forward the authenticity, and raw delivery that have come to define O’Glanby’s work. ‘Hurricane’ delivers a very personal narrative of true accounts, hitting home the devastating and unvoiced struggles of domestic violence. ‘Hurricane‘, featuring Gerry Leonard (David Bowie) and Robbie Malone (David Gray) was widely received with international broadcasts by the likes of BBC Radio Ulster, RTE, RED FM, Amazing Radio, The Sound Lab, plus countless more, expanding on the far reach of The Deep Hour.

This new instalment ‘These Are My Streets’ featuring Paul Linehan (The Frank and Walters) on bass guitar, and Wayne P. Sheehy on drums & piano, is a song of belonging and pride of place, a homecoming, inspired by one mans’ return journey back to his hometown. Balancing nostalgia with optimism, at it’s core ‘These Are My Streets’ has a sincere warmth and a secure identity that transforms personal reflection into a universally recognisable message. The up-tempo track flows with an infectious, searing melody, positive energy and truly heartfelt lyrics. The track rings true through a personal experience of observation on a home visit and a journey through deeply engrained memories borne on the hometown streets of younger years.

These Are My Streets’ is scheduled for release 8th May 2026.

O’Glanby, who is the force behind The Deep Hour, has recently completed his album which will be released later this year. The album, titled “Through Your Eyes”, was produced by international musician Wayne P. Sheehy, in his Ocean Studios Ireland on the shores of Bantry Bay. The album features contributions from some outstanding world class musicians; Gerry Leonard, Robbie  Malone, Trevor Hutchinson, Lisa Lambe, Paul Linehan, Catriona Fallon and many more – where the resulting work fully reflects O’Glanby’s life views, highlighting his creativity and spirit, qualities which have sustained him through the highs and lows of the music industry since the 1990s
