CMAT / Joy Crookes – It’s The Euro-Country Tour!  live gallery and review from St Anne’s Park Dublin 30.05.2026

CMAT Brings Euro-Country Magic to a Sold-Out St Anne’s Park Dublin – 30 May 2026

The second night of this year’s St Anne’s Park summer concert series belonged entirely to CMAT, as the Irish country-pop star delivered a triumphant homecoming performance to a sold-out crowd of 20,000 on a glorious summer evening in Dublin.

With temperatures lingering well into the evening and the sun casting a golden glow across the park, fans of all ages gathered. From young children perched on parents’ shoulders to lifelong music lovers, the diverse audience reflected CMAT’s ever growing appeal as one of Ireland’s most beloved contemporary artists.

The evening began with an energetic appearance from STRUT Queer Line Dancing, whose infectious enthusiasm immediately got the crowd moving. Their return between sets helped maintain the atmosphere throughout the night, transforming the park into one giant open air dancefloor.

British singer-songwriter Joy Crookes provided a compelling support slot, her soulful vocals and thoughtful songwriting offering a perfect contrast to the spectacle that would follow. Crookes’ effortlessly cool stage presence earned a warm reception from the Dublin audience and set the tone for the evening ahead.

Then came CMAT.

Arriving from beneath the stage to deafening cheers, the star wasted little time getting the crowd fully engaged. Remarkably, fan favourite “The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station” arrived as early as the second song of the night, sparking one of the first major singalongs. What followed was a masterclass in modern country-pop performance, balancing humour, heartbreak and sharp social observation.

Highlights came thick and fast. “When a Good Man Cries” showcased CMAT’s powerful vocal range, while “Take a Sexy Picture of Me” drew a particularly passionate response from the audience. The title track “EURO-COUNTRY” perfectly captured the spirit of the tour, blending country influences with gleaming pop production, while “I Wanna Be a Cowboy, Baby!” turned the park into a sea of dancing fans.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments arrived with a heartfelt rendition of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”. The emotional cover brought a moment of reflection amid the high energy set and served as a reminder of CMAT’s remarkable interpretive abilities.

As the light was fading over St Anne’s Park, CMAT proved exactly why she has become one of Ireland’s biggest musical success stories. Combining charisma, wit and undeniable songwriting talent, she delivered a performance that felt both intimate and enormous. On a perfect Dublin summer night, Euro-Country came home and 20,000 people were there to witness it.
