Eight thousand fans packed themselves into the large circus tent in Dublin’s Fairview park to see CMAT playing to her Dublin date on the California or Bust tour. Not only was the date a part of CMATs tour but it was also the opening night of the Fairview summer series of shows that are held there by MCD every year.
At one point CMAT pointed out that it was only ”Ten/eleven years ago that I first step in front of an audience in the Bleeding Horse pub in Dublin for an open-mic session, now I’m back in Dublin playing in front of eight thousand people”.
In anyone’s book that one hell of an achievement.
Fans were treated to a never before played track and a surprise appearance by John Grant.
Opening the show was an act I had seen before and was looking forward to catching again as I cant help but get a fantastic 80s electro vide from him and it brings me right back to Saturday nights watching Top of the Pops and catching some of the Electro Pop greats of the time.
The opening act was New York’s electro-punk-disco act Baba Ali.
