Bowling For Soup – unveil cover of Simple Plan’s ”I’m Just A Kid!”

Pop punk legends Bowling for Soup are putting their signature spin on long time friends Simple Plan’s iconic anthem “I’m Just A Kid” ahead of this summer’s highly anticipated “Bigger Than You Think! Tour – The Sequel!”. Having shared stages and fanbases for years, including an unforgettable first leg with 3OH!3 in 2025, Bowling For Soup’s celebratory take on “I’m Just A Kid” is a nod to the era that shaped them as artists and the fans who grew up alongside their music.
This is reflected in the music video which is both emotional and on trend in equal measures.

This single follows the recent tour announcement, promising the all-gas-no-brakes live performances that has cemented these bands as some of pop punk’s most beloved acts for decades.

On hitting the road again with Simple Plan and 3OH!3, Bowling For Soup vocalist Jaret Reddick previously shared:

I thought they would never ask! Ha. I am so happy to be going back on tour with our little bros Simple Plan. Over 20 years of touring together brings a special relationship. It’s a big family! Oh, and the shows will be awesome too!

Away from their new cover, Bowling For Soup are following up the success of their incredible, career best show (so far) at London’s OVO Arena Wembley last December with three huge tours.

First up, they’re hitting Australia alongside folk punk royalty Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls in May. After going down under, and celebrating their 32nd birthday as a band with a home state Texas show, Jaret, Rob and Gary will be back in the UK this Summer.

They’ll be resuming their partnership with Frank Turner on the Bowl My Bones Tour. The tour begins on the 25th of June at Dreamland in Margate and has nine stops across the UK, finishing up at the prestigious Eden Sessions in St. Austell. They’ll also be storming a couple of castles along the way in Lincoln and Cardiff! Scottish fans – tickets for the Glasgow show are moving quickly so you may want to get a move on!
