bôa – announce headline show at Whelan’s, Dublin

After nearly twenty years since their last release, the exceptional British Alt-rock band bôa returns with a stellar new single, “Walk With Me,” via Nettwerk. This is our first glimpse into the band’s new collection of music after their 1998 single “Duvet,” which sound tracked the Japanese cult-classic anime ‘Serial Experiments Lain,’ re-emerged on TikTok after being sampled by Yung Beef. Since its resurfacing, “Duvet” has sound-tracked nearly 300,000 TikTok videos and gathered over 450M streams. The sudden success helped bring the band back together to write and record more music with a renewed sense of passion…

After beginning a brief hiatus in the mid-2000s, the members of bôa simply lived life. There was no hostility, no dejection, no gripes. Jasmine studied zoology alongside playing solo performances. Alex threw himself into art, painting, and teaching music. Their drummer Lee Sullivan ensconced himself in his family while writing and producing music. They all kept in touch and their time apart gave them a heap of life’s experiences for a new chapter of music.
