Bea’s momentum has continued to build throughout 2026. ‘Rich’ reached a huge new global audience after featuring in Amazon Prime’s hit series Off Campus, while ‘Ballet Pumps’ continued that rise with its candid lyricism and instantly relatable storytelling. Now she returns with new single ‘Peter Pan Syndrome’.
‘Peter Pan Syndrome’ is built around piano-led songwriting, delicate vocals and swirling, celestial harmonies. Its opening line – “a man built the Taj Mahal to honour his wife” – sets the scene for grand romance, but Bea quickly brings things back to reality, turning her trademark scathing wit and honesty on a relationship with a person unwilling to commit.
The song was inspired by Dr. Dan Kiley’s book The Peter Pan Syndrome: Men Who Have Never Grown Up, which explores men who remain seemingly stuck in a state of perpetual adolescence. Its most popular review on Goodreads offers a rather more succinct summary: “Good to read if you have an idiot male in your life.”
Bea says, “Peter Pan Syndrome is an ode the “let’s keep it casual” boys who promise the world but can’t even plan a date… I think we all know one of those !”
Drawing on distinctive voices and storytellers spanning Lily Allen and Sharon Van Etten to Hayley Williams, Aretha Franklin and Adele, Bea first broke through at just 19. Her debut single ‘Born To Be Alive’ is now approaching 50 million streams, and was followed by ‘Safety Net’ whch became a breakout hit in Itlay and fan favourite ‘Never Love A Liar’. At the start of 2026, she left behind the ‘Bea and her Business’ moniker and stepped forward simply as Bea, marking a new chapter which has focused on more direct songwriting and unguarded emotion. ‘Rich’ has since become one of her biggest tracks to date, while ‘Never Know Love’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling Out Of Love’ have showcased another side to her artistry, allowing her voice and vulnerability to take centre stage.
Her live journey started with the debut of a lifetime, performing in front of 100,000 people at a festival in Norway, followed by headline shows across the UK, Europe and North America, including a sold-out homecoming at London’s KOKO. In addition to recent dates with Katy Perry and Freya Ridings, she has shared stages with mxmtoon, English Teacher and The Wombats. Tastemaker support has come from Amazon Music, Clash, Dork, MTV, Notion, Radio 1, Shazam and Spotify. She was also nominated for a ‘Rising Star’ Award by The Ivor Novellos for her songwriting.
