Bambie Thug – has unveiled the official music video for latest single ‘Redrum’

Fresh off the heels of dropping their defiant single ‘REDRUM’, Bambie Thug returns with the track’s official music video. Directed by Jake Ringsell, the eerie video draws inspiration from one of cinema’s most disturbing images: The Ludovico Technique from Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. The forced transformation sets the tone for a nightmarish visual that descends into themes of indoctrination, control, and psychological breakdown. With distorted realities and unnerving intensity, Bambie paints a raw and rebellious reflection of the current world.

Speaking about the music video, Director Jake Ringsell said “As soon as I heard REDRUM I knew we were going to make something special. The song gripped me from the first moment. I’d already seen them perform it live at Glastonbury earlier that year, and the energy felt like a war cry – unapologetic and defiant.

In our first conversation about the video, Bambie mentioned one of cinema’s most indelible images – ‘The Ludovico Technique’ from Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. That reference struck a chord. The raw helplessness of that scene, the horror of forced transformation, became the thread we wove everything else upon. From there, the vision took on a life of its own: hypnotic, visceral and unflinching.

This music video stands as my favourite collaboration to date. I hope it speaks with the same clarity and conviction that the song does – a mirror held up to the world, reflecting both its darkness and its fire.”

Bambie Thug quite simply adds “interpret it for yourselves”.

On the single Bambie Thug said “REDRUM is a masterclass, sonically and lyrically. Seeing the reaction it’s had live just emphasises to me how important the song is. It’s political, it’s anti-war, it’s a ‘rebel cry’ for the LGBTQIA community and for everyone who is fed up with living in this disconnected world. All I can offer to these turbulent times is my art and hope it wakes people up.”
