‘Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For?’ became another landmark era in Amy Macdonald’s career as it became her sixth consecutive UK Top 10 album and added to a career total of a billion+ streams. Last year also ended on a high when she played to 28,000 fans across two sold-out nights at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. Now the album campaign continues into 2026 with the release of ‘Can You Hear Me? The Remixes’ on Record Store Day, April 18th. The news comes ahead of extensive touring across the UK and Europe which starts in Munich this Sunday.
‘Can You Hear Me? The Remixes’ features four new takes on one of the key songs from the ‘Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For?’album. Side 1 features Amy’s own extended version of the song alongside a revision from French remixer extraordinaire The Reflex, while Side 2 adds remixes KID Jones (the alias of Matt Jones, who co-wrote the song with Amy) as well as GBX and Outforce – GBX being the DJ name of George Bowie, who presents the breakfast show on Clyde 1: the biggest breakfast radio show in Scotland.
Limited to 1500 copies, the vinyl features a striking inkplosion design.
Amy’s imminent tour of mainland Europe will add to the phenomenal tally of 5 million people who have previously attended her shows – and multiple nights have already sold-out months in advance. She returns to the UK in June, including prime billing at TRNSMT and headline outdoor shows at Southampton Summer Sessions and Live At The Piece Hall. August then brings a mix of headline shows and summer festival dates in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
