‘CONDUIT’ ON AUGUST 9TH.
‘Conduit’ is the blistering opening track of the new Partland album ‘The Empty Atlantic’. It tells a story of a complicated relationship and the control someone can have over you, but giving in to their terms just so you can have them and the frustration that comes with that. It is an emotive, powerful anthem that kicks the album into life right from the jump. The music video was handcrafted by Partland singer and songwriter Thomas McPartland and the track was produced and recorded by Dave Skelton at his studio in Galway, Ireland.
‘The Empty Atlantic’ is the second album from Galway based act Partland. It is an album about finding hope in the hopeless; strength in the weakness. The interpretation of the album’s title has been completely left to the listener to find their own meaning to. Recorded over a number of years in Galway, Ireland and across the Atlantic in Newfoundland, Canada, the album will finally see the light of day in August 2024. It was recorded by both Robert Kelly and Dave Skelton, who took the reins on half of the album’s tracks each. The songs were all written by songwriter Thomas McPartland with a wide range of musician friends helping him capture his vision for the work. The album will also be accompanied visually, with each track on the album being released with the music video to further tell the story of the songs. These stories will be portrayed in a variety of methods; animation, live action, stop motion and claymation, creating a truly unique album intaking experience.
