The Godfather of Afroswing, Kojo Funds, has marked his return with the announcement of his new EP HELLO IT’S ME AGAIN for release on August 21st.
The platinum-selling pioneer has also released his brand new single ‘How Many’ today following its world premiere with DJ Target on BBC Radio 1Xtra. The track showcases his development on the gritty Afroswing he birthed in East London, now introducing a new take on bright Afrobeat and Dancehall, as he incorporates greater influence from his Ghanaian & Dominican roots into his sound.
Produced by the Grammy-winning Ghanaian producer Killbeatz (Wizkid, Burna Boy, Ed Sheeran), ‘How Many’ is a huge summer anthem propelled by Caribbean bounce and smooth funky flow from Funds as he delivers, “a vibrant ode to gratitude.” Continuing he says, “’How Many’ invites you to savour life’s precious moments and appreciate the abundance found in every blessing.”
