Adult DVD today release new single ‘Jesus Christ Supercar‘ taken from their hugely anticipated self-titled debut album, which will be released this Friday 25th on Fat Possum Records. The Leeds-based sextet have carved a niche as one of the most talked-about live bands in the country and an irreverent new voice existing in the space between electronic euphoria and spiky hardcore energy. Early press support has been huge, while BBC 6Music and BBC Radio1 have also hailed the band, with each and every one of their recent singles Real Tree Lee, Cowboy On Aisle Three & Rolling Face hitting the BBC 6Music playlist.Few artists manage to paint such a vivid and comic picture of modern Britain – from the oddballs to the absurdities – this is a band that speaks to the here and now.
From Friday, the band also embark on a run of album release week events. Instores and outstores around the UK, plus more across hometown Leeds, including a pop-up at Welcome Skatestore with collaborative merch, an official afterparty at Hyde Park Book Club with DJ sets from the band, Champagne Problem and Bathing Suits, and exclusive giveaways such as free beer from Northern Monk Brewery.
