Abstract Concrete today share new single Small World – their first new music since their critically acclaimed 2023 self-titled debut album. The co-founder of This Heat and Camberwell Now, Charles Hayward, recently entered his eighth decade, but instead of slowing down, he’s actually stepping the pace up dramatically.
After two European tours covering 11 countries and various festival appearances including UK’s Dig That Treasure and Outer Waves and Spain’s Primavera Festival – the London based collective today return with this propulsive new cut.
On the new single, Abstract Concrete say – “Small World is a song initially inspired by 60’s yè-yè euro pop, the mysteries of quantum physics and John Cage’s Silence but things got out of control and the sound kept on changing in front of our ears. And the elephant in the room“
Abstract Concrete bring together some of the most exciting and forward-thinking young London players from a diversity of European underground and experimental scenes. More soon.
