A Place To Bury Strangers / Stella Rose – The Grand Social, Dublin 27.09.2024

American rock band New York City to more precise A Place To Bury Strangers currently touring across 8 countries which in total consisted twenty four dates. Hit Dublin’s The Grand Social after a late start as the band had been stopped in costumes due to forms and good old Brexit regulations. So meant the guys didn’t get to the venue till 8.30pm, so after a quick set-up and brief sound check the gig got to kick off.

Stella Rose Gahan took up the opening slot and understandable only got to play a short set, unfortunate as what she did get to play went down great with the pretty full room. Stella performs solo with backing track and her electric guitar.
Her self from New York and playing her style of dramatic pop backed up with powerful vocals.

Once it came to the turn of the main act, who once hitting the stage the first words that were spoken were turn off the fucking lights and they were, the room was plunged into darkness as all that illuminated it from then on was a few disco ball lights doted around the stage and projectors on the stage floor. So then the band were engulfed in a blanket of smoke and for the most all that could be seen were shadows making a fantastic wall of sonic sound and fuzzed out noise.
